International Foundation

The international foundation or undergraduate foundation is a six month or nine month full time course taught at a college or university campus. It combines both English language and academic subjects related to the bachelor degree the students will study.

The undergraduate foundation allows international students to gain entry to bachelor degree courses at British universities and give them the linguistic and academic skills they will need to be successful on the degree course.

During the undergraduate foundation students will study academic subjects related to their bachelor degree as well as academic skills such as research methods, essay writing, presentation skills The academic study part of the foundation covers intensive study of academic subjects related to the bachelor degree they intend to progress too. Students will have the opportunity to improve their critical thinking skills in areas such as analysing concepts, assessing & interpreting evidence, examining connections between ideas, asking critical questions, forming opinions and developing arguments within their study major or subject areas.
