ABMS and medical licensure

Following the successful completion of the hospital residency program medical graduates will have to take and pass the ABMS exam to get the medical board certification for the medical specialization completed during the hospital residency program. This exam is given by a member board of the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS).

Medical graduates will then need to take ad pass a final doctor licensure exam in whichever state they intend to practice medicine in.

Medical graduate become licensed physicians or licensed medical doctors, who will can work in whatever setting you they choose to. With the freedom to work in a clink, hospital, be a travelling doctor, medical instructor in a medical school, medical research, or even medical administration and management.
