Postgraduate Diploma

The Postgraduate Diploma is a postgraduate academic degree taken after the completion of a Bachelor's degree and it is usually granted by a University, a Graduate school or a college. The postgraduate diploma vary from country to another and can be either a vocational postgraduate diploma or academic postgraduate diploma.

The postgraduate diploma can take between six to nine months of full time study to complete. The postgraduate diploma assessment is through a series of exams and course work such as assignments, presentations and group work and classified into pass, merit or distinction.

Students who take the master's degree program and complete the taught courses but not complete the dissertation part are normally awarded a postgraduate diploma instead. Postgraduate diploma abbreviations are PGDip, PG Dip, PgDip, or PGD.
