IELTS Options

There are 2 IELTS options to choose from, the Academic IELTS and the General IELTS. The IELTS speaking test and the IELTS listening test are the same in the Academic IELTs and in the General IELTS. The difference between the Academic IELST and the General IELTS comes in the IELTS reading test and the ILETS writing test where the IELTS reading test and the IELTS writing test are different in the General IELTS from the Academic IELTS.

Students wishing to undertake academic study for example a university degree or college degree must take the Academic IELTS. General IELTS is suitable for people who wish to do non academic courses for example training programmes and non certificate based courses.

There is an option of either Academic or General Training Reading and Writing Modules. Academic is suitable for candidates planning to undertake higher education study. General Training is suitable for candidates planning to undertake non academic training or work. General IELST is accepted for immigration to UK, immigration to Australia and
